I am in a loop that I can't get out of. I have instructions both in my book from my sql class and from this forum to first download .net 3.5 and windows installer 4.5 and then try to install sql server 2008 with tools to get the management studio.
I have spent 9 hours now...
.net 3.5 doesn't ever finish the install. It goes throught the whole process for 40 minutes, then in the end finishes with a blank error page. I have searched my system to see if .net 3.5 was intalled and I do not find it. I already know
from personal experience that I won't even get the management studio if I don't complete this process first. So what am I missing here? Never have a seen such sketchy instructions for what should be a simple install of sql server express so I can
do my homework for class!
Help would be appreciated. I have windows 7 professional...2 gig, single core processor.
