planning a simple forum, creating threads?

 hey,
 I'm a decent winforms and windows programming, recently moved into the web world.

 I plan to build a simple internal forum. My primary problem is with the forum, how would I code a thread viewing page?  How would I have a repeating box for each post with the username and the other details like most forums?Also, the forum post would have formatting.....Would I use the repeater control? or is there some other way that its done?
