How to call a webservice from Remote server

 Hi,
I have to call a webservice from a remote server.The remote client has given me a link like
https:xxx.xxx..... ?wsdl.When i see it in the IE it is looking like a xml data structure.How can i use it in my application? how to call the remote server's webservice? pls explain..
