Cron job in Asp.net

I know about schedule task and sql server agent , it does job as a sequence time well. I need to implement this using cron job. I don't about cron job. I search in google , i didn't get clear point. Please tell any one how to implement cron job? how it differ from schedule taks in windows and sql server agent?
