Not sure whether this is the right place to post this, so apologies.
I am new to Team Foundation server and have some basic questions on how to use it.
we are a team of 5 developers, so what's the pros vs cons of the having the source code of asp.net projects to be located in a shared folder, where developers can access it.
I understand that in the case of having a local copy of the source code for each developer will allow them to check out files, make changes and then check in. Is there any advantage of moving the source code out of the local developers computers and putting it in a shared folder?
Also, any suggestions on a starter guide of how to use TFS2010 properly? we would like to demo (is there a way to demo it?) it for a while and then see whether it can improve our workflow, especially that our team will be increasing by almost 100% and people will be working out of remote sites for us.
