NULL Reference Exception

Hello,
  Dim mpContentPlaceHolder As ContentPlaceHolder         
  Dim mpTextBox As TextBox         
  mpContentPlaceHolder = CType(Master.FindControl("ContentPlaceHolder1"), ContentPlaceHolder)
 
Third Line in my code is throwing NULL Reference exception. Any Ideas ?
