Maintain Scrollbar Position based upon Condition?

Hi all ,
I have two fields set on a page one Contains Section for Adding the Data and an other section contains the  section for Displaying the Date i mean Gridview .
Inside Gridview there is link for Update and iam reading the Data into First Section Textboxes now on clicking on Update button of Girdivew how i scroll the position of scrollbar to top and when i click the submit button then scroll bar postion should be the bottom where is the Gridview
Is it possible to maintain the scroll bar position
