how i validate my date input

Hi,  

how i validate my date input from textbox ,

i have two dates to be entered in my form

one is  for Georgian date, i want to validate my date to user will  know he will enter date in MM/DD/Year format

which is the best way to validate i mean will i take calender control  in asp.net or javascript
