How to take the user credentials ?

Hi,
I am using asp.net.
authentication is windows authentication.
here you knw, i wanna display the user name on the top as the user logs in, like you can see on the top of this forum, that signed in as :---------- 
like wise, i too wanna give the user's name. How can it be possible ?
