I put one of these on my default.aspx, thinking it looked better than the regular button. I saw it has a post back url and a way to select a url, so I selected that page I wanted to go to when the button is clicked. Nothing happens when it is clicked, but I can see something down in the status bar at the bottom of the browser window about java and post back. But nothing happens.
I double click in designer and put a server transfer in the click event. Nothing happens, other than a different message about java and post backs down below.
so does a link button ever do anything or is just there to confuse people who haven't see it before?
So I drop a regular button next to it and set up a click event and it works like I expect. But the link button still looks better, but I wish I knew what the secret was...
