Hello, I am trying to get my client to understand the importance of upgrading to the $7000 SQL program, but as you can understand in this Economy, thats a lot of beans for a small company.
The size of the database reported by the os is sql.mdf = 10,295,488 and sql.ldf = 7,427,200
Looking in Management Studio Size is reported 17,207.31 MB Space available 2004.99 MB (I assume it is adding the MDF and LDF for this number.
Do we have 2GB before it explodes?
What is the proper procedure to shrink the database? Click on Shrink and check Reorganize and thats it? Or do scripts need to be run to re-page and reindex?
I need to buy some time so we can get off this powder keg!
