First off I know nothing about databases and servers. :(
But what I need help with is simple; though I'm not sure the process is simple. I'm moving data to a web-based service which requires the information in an excel file. I was able to export the data out of the old program (it's an old program that was made
independently -- not from a major company), but the data is in a bak file.
In Management Studio I got to the point where I tried to export the database as an Excel file but when I opened it in Excel there was nothing. Now I don't know if I did something wrong (probable) or if the bak file is even any good (possible -- since it's
such an old buggy program).
Help. Please.
