I cannot access Sql Server from a Windows 8 computer. It is a member of the domain. I have given the user Domain Admins Rights. I have switched off user A/c control. Switched of Windows Defender switched off windows firewall. Installed SQL Server Management
studio etc etc. Other machines can all see and access SQL server using TCP IP (It's switched on) and mixed mode authentication. Logging in as SA.
I can however access it if I run the command prompt as Administrator and run the program from the command line. If I log in as either local or Domain admin it does not access SQL Server ONLY by running the command prompt as administrator. No virus
checker I can see. I have had this before and got round it with a "Run as administrator" Batch file. But I'd like to resolve it rather than revert to Windows 7 (as we are having to do increasingly for this and printer driver reasons).
