Using the new ASP.Net security that shipped with VS2013, I need to use an Organizational Account with On-Premises AD authentication. I'm stuck at understanding the "metadata document URL" that's asked for in the "On-Premises Authority textbox. I've talked
to our AD administrator and he doesn't know. The documentation on the security provider has no information about this.
So, my questions:
- What is this document?
- How is it generated?
- What do we need to turn on in AD to make this work?
- Is there a simple step-by-step setup that I can give to my AD admin?
- Can the ASP.Net docs get updated to explain this document?
This will be critical to us going forward so we can lock down apps based on AD.
