Hello everybody,
I have a very bizarre problem. I am trying to install SQL Server 2012 Express in our lab environment but I keep getting the dreaded a steep failed with a unknown property error.
So far, I have:
-Uninstalled every other instances of SQL Server.
-Deleted every entries in the registry regarding SQL Server.
-Reinstalled .net framework 4 and 4.5.
-Used the built-in admin accounts.
-Tried reinstalling Visual Studio 2010
I have managed to change the error message so far to :
There was a failure to calculate the applicability of setting LICENSETYPE.
So far, nothing works... It is the same for every system image I have built so far. Funny thing... I got 2 very different error depending if I look in Program Files x86 and the 64 bits of program files... Here are the logs:
