url rewriting problem

hello there,
i want rewrite url
www.foo.com?ViewProfile.aspx?user=xyz
to
www.foo.com/xyz
and www.foo.com?ViewProfile.aspx?user=xyz&id=e123
to www.foo.com/xyz/e123

any help with brif example ????
