Hi everyone,
I just installed a SQL Server 2012(full version) on my desktop. But I can't connect to the server by TCP/IP in the intranet. The server is established in Server 2000. Will this be the problem?
I've checked server configurations as below:
1. All TCP/IP and Named pipes on both server and client are enabled.
2. When I used Server 2005 on Windows 7 on my desktop, the connection with the same server worked very good. ( But sorry I didn't know the configuration at that time)
3.Other Server client 2000 of other PCs can connect to the server.
4. On the server, I can't telnet to its own port 1433. Might it be a problem?
5. SQL Server 2000 SP4 was installed in the server.
What should I do then? Any comments or guides are highly appreciated.
Thanks so much!
Cheers,
Nicole
