Hi,
Just a quick question...I have a site in ASP.NET that needs to have Google tracking code added to it.  My developer wants to charge me $300 to add the tracking code to the site, as he said he needs to open up the source code in Visual Studio, add the tracking code, then recompile the site and re-upload it.  Is this true?
According to the instructions, I just need to add the code to the Master Page.  I noticed the MasterPage.master file in the website's INETPUB directory.  Can't I just rename the MasterPage file "MasterPage.master.txt", then open it in NotePad, copy/paste the tracking code at the bottom of the page, then Save, then rename the file back to "MasterPage.Master", and be done with it?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
