I just heard on the 6:00 PM News that a hacker or hackers exploited an Internet weakness and were harvesting Usernames and Passwords. The newscaster, Brian Williams, recommended that everybody immediately change all their passwords. This seems extreme
to me. Is this really necessary? I wonder if changing passwords will actually insure against subsequent theft from the hacker(s) or future copycats? How can I protect my WEB site and my users from this mess going forward? What steps can we WEB developers
take to prevent future intrusions. Is Microsoft known to be taking any action, or do they have any official advice? Than you for any information you care to provide....................................Phil Hoop
