What could be the cause that it takes 30 seconds to update one field in 28 rows in a table?
The read query is immideate. There is index on the supplierID.
The queries are run from an Access 2010 frontend.
SQL server express runs in a virtual server. CPU consumption is 50% when query runs.
Trend antivirus has excluded file types accdb, ldf and mdf.
There is plenty of free space on C: and 20GB of memory.
