“" is not working in MVC?

Hi All,
<v:shape><v:imagedata></v:imagedata></v:shape> is not working in MVC? When i change the tag from <v:imagedata> to <img> tag it start showing the image.
Why <v:shape> tag is not supporting in MVC? How to solve this issue?
