Ok this is frustrating....
On my local desktop - running IIS 7 - my app pool is running as ApplicationPoolIdentity
I have heard that this maps to either NETWORK SERVICE or IIS_USRS. So I granted both of these godlike powers in my website folder. There is no such user as ApplicationPoolIdentity. Why would Microsoft make a user that does not exist? Is it a real user,
or something else? How do I grant it the perms it needs to serve my web page? How can I even find out what user it thinks is failing?
