We use SQL Express on our Point of Sales Terminals to run an application that feeds a central database. We had a Nessus scan that found that we were using the SSL_SELF_SIGNED_FALLBACK certificate. We are looking are replacing this certificate
with one from our local CA. We are not using SSL Encryption.
Where can we look to locate the certificate? We have not seen it in the registry or in the certificate store for Network Service (runs the SQL Express Service). We want to let the security folks know when we have placed an official certificate
in place, in order for them to re-scan the POS Terminals.
