when I'm installing SQL server management studio for 2008 r2 it has occurred this error
"the following error has occurred: could not write value to key \software. verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
then I clicked OK. but after installation it said that management tools didn't installed.
Then I tried to find management studio in my PC but I couldn't find it even
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn\VSShell\Common7\IDE\
How do I install SSMS correctly?
note:
I've done all of this using administrator account and run all of this as "run as administrator"
