i was writing the following code to subtract the amount of minutes between 2 dates

Dim date1 As DateTime = "11/3/2014 8:59:57 AM"
Dim date2 As DateTime = "11/3/2014 16:25:12 PM"
dim MinutesDifference as integer
MinutesDifference=DateDiff(DateInterval.Minute, date1, date2)

But the Answer i get is 445 minutes. Dividing that by 60 will give me 7 hours 41 minutes.
if you actually go to check manually, the right answer is 7 hour 25 minutes
why is ASP.net not calculating the minutes correctly. Please let me know as i am kind off stuck in here.
