I have just installed "SQL Server 2008 R2 Express with Advanced Services" on my Windows 7 workstation. I'm going through the Walkthrough: Installing and Configuring SQL Server 2008 R2 Express with Advanced Services located here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg512108(v=vs.91).aspx. I'm down to the heading "Configure Your New Instance of SQL Server for the Installation of the AdventureWorks
Databases" step 2 which says: in SQL Server Configuration Manager left pane select "SQL Server Services. When I do, I get this:
