SQL2008R2 (Express)
Having a problem starting an instance in single user mode from the command prompt. This is a local install of SQL and I am a local admin on the PC.
I've navigated to the \Binn folder for the instance and issued the command "sqlservr.exe -f" and "sqlservr.exe -m"
All I get is a error dialogue box with no text (see attached).
The SQL Error log gives this message:
The Computer Browser service entered the running state.
I'm basically trying to get this whole procedure perfected so that it's second nature in future.
