I have been presented with a problem that is a Legitimate Business Need. Logically, I would think this is possible but I can also see security concerns and ways companies would specifically block this. Here is the business scenario:
A piece of equipment performs a task. It is connected to a Laptop with a GUI interface and a SQL server installed on the laptop. The equipment and GUI store all of it's information in the local SQL database. Equipment is portable so it can be used in
