linked server problem, its works locally but not from remote machine

Hi,
i am using the application NAV and have written the query in the application. am using automation variable to link to the SQL Server. The problem is that , the query which i have written executes only when i am working on local machine . I mean when i want to execute the same query from remote machine through my app Dynamics NAV then its not getting executed. Thanks in advance
