First, I tried to upgrade from 2005, 2008 to 2012 and got this error message:

So I took that advice and downloaded 2008 R2 Express 32-bit (SQLEXPR_x86_ENU.exe) and installed it but when I chose the upgrade on that one I got the same error message.

"There are validation errors on this page. Click OK to close this dialog  box. Review errors at the bottom Setup page , then provide valid parameters or click Help for more information."
Bottom of upgrade page: "There are no features selected for upgrade."
I have multiple copies of SQL Server installed and I have no idea on how to just have one, like 2012, for example on my system.
I fell like have a scrambled mess of SQL versions on my computer. What's the best way to resolve all of this?
