Hi Experts,
Shortly, I'll be retiring my laptop (64 bit, Windows 7, VS2013 Pro, SQL Express) and replacing it with a new one (64 bit, Windows 8.1, VS2013 Pro, SQL Express).  Both of these laptops are/will be stand alone machines that only connect to the internet.  On my old machine, the 10 or so databases associated with applications I created and are located somewhere on drive C.  On the new machine, I want to place all of my application databases under one directory.  All the databases are also backed up on a stand-alone hard drive.  I should have the ability to copy the databases to 700 MB CDRs, USB Flash Drives or the internet.
Question:
How do I identify the SQL Express catalogs and database file names for my applications and their locations? How do I set the catalogs on the new laptop to receive the database files? How do I copy them from the old to new laptop? Go to the complete details ...
