I would like to apply SP1 to a SQL 2014 Cluster running on Windows 2012 R2 virtual servers with Cluster Shared Volumes. In previous versions of SQL Clusters I would update the inactive node and then failover the SQL instance and resources then update
the formerly active node. With 2014 I am not sure how updating the inactive node will affect the databases on the cluster shared volume. And since the active node is conducting data transactions on those databases during the update I am unsure
of what effect (if any) updating the inactive node will have on those transactions in progress or visa versa.
Does anyone know of a best practices type of document on how to apply SP1 to SQL 2014 on a cluster using CSV's?
