My asp.net hosting provider tells me that asp.net sites can be redirected by malware that gets onto the server.  But could this explain why the website shows different behavior at different locations?
I tried it out in a library 40 miles away, and the pages crashed.  I was hoping the reason was a cache error or browser error, but that cannot be, because the crash showed server messages and also, my site had never been tested there.  Trying it from home did not have that effect.
Recently a beta testing company tried to just register on the site, and that failed, while it worked fine here.
So can a website be redirected for one location and not another?
(An alternate explanation is that the website wasn't tested at the exact same time, so the perhaps it is being redirected some of the time, but not all of the time).
The problem might not be redirection at all, at this point, I want to know any explanation, no matter how unusua ...
