I am trying to develop the simplest web page ever : a Default.aspx page that, when a imagebutton is clicked, makes a Response.Redirect () to another page , let's call  it Main.aspx.
I would like to know why , when the redirect happens, the Page_load () method in the Main.aspx codebehind is called more than once....
I see that none of the repeated page_load events is a postback.
I am not using SiteMaster pages, nor any kind of other event is contemplated on this very basic project .
I am observing this behaviour in debug mode, on a project developped in VS 2013 Community .

Is there a reason for this, or is it simply a bug in asp.net ?

Go to the complete details ...
