how to set query (select * products where status = 1 )

hi ,
i really don't understand the query method which is using in the this application (http://www.asp.net/web-forms/overview/getting-started/getting-started-with-aspnet-45-web-forms/display_data_items_and_details) , can  some one teach me how to set query (display all products where status = 1) (note : i have already created extra column status which filed 1 and 0) thank you.
