It can become a bit overwhelming with so many resources out there, so I hope nobody minds if I solicit some very general thoughts and feedback in regards to my current plan for getting started with ASP.NET.
My company has a need for an IT asset tracking application. I started off trying to adapt Snipe IT, then switched to building an Access Web App, and found that in both cases I needed more control. We dispatch equipment to companies all over the country and
need to keep track of shipments as well. This is a low-priority task for my company so I figured I might as well use this chance to learn ASP.NET in my free time.
My background: I have a minimal amount of programming experience. I've done a fair amount of work with HTML/CSS, but beyond markup it's just been tweaking bits of Javascript and PHP here and there. I've done some very basic MySQL database maintenance. I did
