I am trying to connect to a remote SQL Server Express (a workstation that have SQL Server 2014 Express installed on) from my local machine (with SQL Server 2014 Express installed on it too), and the two machines are connected to a domain-network.
When I connect to the remote server, the connection succeeds, and appears in the objects explorer. However, the status of the connection is “not running”, and when I right click it; the run, stop, pause, resume, and restart options are greyed out (This is
shown with the screenshots below).
How can I can I run this connection?
Notes: The firewall on both machines is disabled, and I’ve set the TCP Port in IPALL to 1433 within the TCP/IP properties in the SQL Server Configuration Manager, and both the IP1, and IP2 are active and enabled, and the SQL Server Browser is running!
Any Help is highly appreciated
