Type of project i need to select while creating a website

Hi all

This might be a basis question,i have searched in different forums regarding this and i didn't get a proper answer for this..So am posting it here
If i want to create a website what i need to select

1)Project
Or
2)Website

0	To Create Browser Based Application, Choose File > New > Website > ASP.NET Website for Ready to Customize website and File > New > Website >ASP.NET Empty Web Site for Creating a Website yourself.
