How to insert and retrieve any files including PDF file to mysql database

I have a listview which I store my attachments before I store it in database.I already done with jpeg,png file to attach but my problem is how to attach a PDF file..
Please give me a code for this.I need this urgently,because this is just an additional to my system..Thanks,Please I need help...
