How to pass dropdownlist selected value to the action in MVC3

HI,
I am having a dropdown list which has hardcoded values ( we need it hardcoded only and will not be populated from the database)
My question is when i select a particular value it should be pass to the action.
My action is getting called however, i am not sure how to pass the selected value to the action. Please can any one please help me out...

This action of the controller is getting called when I select any value from drop down list and click on search. however, i am unable to send the selected value to this action so that further processing can be done based on the arguments received.
