how to display the duration of a video on its thumbnail..?

I am creating a website similar to you tube, there you can see a list of videos with the
duration of it at the bottom of the thumbnail..

so my doubts are,
how to create that thumbnails using ASP.Net & c#
how to retrieve video duration on thumbnail...

any help will be thankfull..
