Default Collation depends on..??

Does the default value of a column collation depends on the windows o.s language that we set..??
Should we consider this too while creating a column.. or explicitly only in cases where search techniques are implemented..

0	hi vasanthmvp, i think it depends upon the language which we set because SQL Server setup inspects the server locale during install and selects a collation based on the regional settings. It is important to set these correctly during OS deployment!
