authentications in asp.net

Authentication is important for all dynamic applications.
suppose let us aasume ebay.com
in ebay we can buy the products which are available , if authentication is not there in our application then we may have ambiguity that which user had ordered which product to avoid this we use authentication

Hi Sarat,

Actually, there are three types of authentication. The one you missed out is Passport authentication. As per my knowledge it is not supported in .Net 4.0, as it is in development phase.
