how to update a file in windows 7

Hi,
I want to update hosts file in windows.
following is the path.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
but error message is showing.
error is access to this file is denied.
iam using genuine windows7.
How to solve this

Hi Klbaiju,
Set all read write permissions or full control to your current user from which you are logging in your windows account.
or use the administrator account to update that file.I think it will work.

Go to that file you want to update, right click on that file, select properties option,then go to security tab. there you can set the permissions for the file for the current user logged in for windows at present time. If these permissions doesn't work than use administrator account to set the permissions.
