hi all,

Can anybody tell me the diferences between machine.config ,app.config,web.config

app.config:
A configuration file can contain information that the application reads at run time.

machine.config - It contains machine level configuration. Say if you have multiple application hosted in a machine and if you want to have some configuration to be same for all the instance, then you can keep those information in this file
app.config in web app - Again, it is specific to each website, and it acts as a normal xml file and you have keep some setting and can be read from application.
web.config - It is specific to each website and in depth, specific to each web folder
