What is the use of aspnet_regiis.exe /iru?

Hi sir,
I need to know the use of aspnet_regiis.exe /iru command. I have visualstudio 2010 with framework 2.0 and 4.0. In IIS, i can able to view the framework 2.0 sites, after using the above command i can able to view the framework 4.0. I want to know the usage of command with parameters [/iru]. Kindly give me the solution for this problem.

0	Hello Prabhu aspnet_regiis.exe /iru command updates existing application pools to the version of asp.net you are installing As you told you were able to view web apps with 2.0 framework and after running the command aspnet_regiis.exe /iru it checked for existing framework of ASP.NET and registered the Framework 4.0 for IIS for Application Pools.
