How to Subtract the Values of some textboxes from the values in a table in the database

Please I need help. I have two tables. I want to insert into one and update the second one. On inserting into the first table I want to subtract some values of some textboxes from some of the cells in the second table. Hope I'm clear enough. Please help, its urgent. thank you.
