When do we need User control and when should we use Custom control

Hi all ,

i just have a question .I know the difference in making of user control & custom control.

But When do we need User control and when should we use Custom control ?
How to decide.

0	One point to be decision is whether control will generic and used in multiple applications or it is application specific(and also contain the some UI). If control is generic and can be used in multiple applications then go for custom controls but if control is application specific and also contains the some layout then go for user control.
