what is the architecture of your project?

Recent days, i have been facing this question. whatever I expalin to interviewer is not satisfying.
Can some body guide me perfect answer in sharepoint?

0	Architecture of project is similar to architecture of a house/construction site. The flexibility of project depends upon the acrhitecture on which the project is based on. First of all you should have understanding on What is meant by Architecture? Your answer should be supporting the definition of Architecture.

You start briefing about your project

Describe the interaction with Database
Also define caching you have used.
