Suggest me to list more than 1 Lackh agents in a webform.

Hi Friends,

I am in need of your suggestion before starting my new project.
I like to develop in ASP.NET 2008, BackEnd MySQL
Project: ERP for an insurance company having many branches

In Agent master page: new agents will be registered and
In New business form: we have to show all agents in this form

Currently there are more than 1,00,000 agents available in DB.
While creating a new business/policy i have so show all agents in that form
from which client will select one agent who made the business.

like this: Agent list is necessary to show in many forms.

What is the best suggestion for showing this agent list (contains more than 1,00,000 agents)
Note: the same list is necessary in many other forms and also this new agents will be created from another end too.

0	hi Thiru I dont think you should worry about this as long as you will display data based on the search. So it doesnt matter how many agents you have in the database , as long as you have a search that will filter data bring less data. Another thing you should do , if you know that there is a posibility of returning a lot of data, you need to page your grids. I dont think you should worry about this as long as you will display data based on the search. So it doesnt matter how many agents you have in the database , as long as you have a search that will filter data bring less data. Another thing you should do , if you know that there is a posibility of returning a lot of data, you need to page your grids.

But i like to display all that 100000 Agent (code & name) in a Jquery Table with search option. So, once i feed all data in jquery table. it will take care of search and sort option by client end without DB connection on every event like search or sorting... i like to feed all the agent data only once. Don't want to load every time when the user switch to another form. note: if some new agent comes in -- it should be updated in our agent table.
